SportsPro, the leading sports business media and events company, and WRC Promoter, the commercial rights holder of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) and FIA European Rally Championship (ERC), are delighted to extend and expand their partnership in a move that will continue to drive progress towards a more sustainable future for sport.
The partnership will be brought to life via a cross-platform content collaboration, including exclusive editorial features and a multi-part podcast series, ‘Beyond Rally: Fuelling the Future’, built around the key strategic pillars outlined in WRC Promoter’s Beyond Rally Sustainability Roadbook.
First unveiled during SportsPro Live 2024, the all-encompassing strategy sets out the overarching goals for the long-term future of the championship, establishing Beyond Rally as the unified platform for all its social and environmental sustainability initiatives.
Last year’s inaugural Beyond Rally Forum in Portugal, an event produced by SportsPro, gathered expert thought leaders to showcase and discuss rallying’s role in achieving global sustainability targets, spanning topics such as biodiversity, climate, social impact and responsible event management.
As part of the new partnership, SportsPro will continue to raise awareness of and amplify WRC Promoter’s ongoing efforts in sustainability throughout 2025 via its editorial and event platforms, including the forthcoming edition of SportsPro Live, which takes place in London on 29th and 30th April.
“We want to lead the way in promoting sustainability in motorsport and continue to be an industry leader in this field. Now, other motorsports series, as well as the wider sporting community, can learn from our approach,” said Arne Dirks, Chief Marketing Officer at WRC Promoter GmbH.
“By partnering with SportsPro, we are going to increase the target audience for our Sustainability Roadbook, which will become a benchmark for more series to follow.”
Michael Long, SportsPro’s Editorial Director, added: “Part of our mission at SportsPro is to create compelling content that highlights examples of best practice and drives industry discussion around social and environmental sustainability in sport.
“We’re therefore delighted to continue our collaboration with WRC Promoter, an organisation whose Sustainability Roadbook sets the bar for other international rights holders aspiring to implement ambitious sustainability strategies of their own.”
