Brazilian soccer giants Flamengo have revealed betting brand Betano as their new front-of-shirt sponsor.
Contract:
- Betano replaces Pixbet as Flamengo’s master sponsor
- Three year-deal reportedly worth BR$268.5 million (US$49.4 million) per season
Context:
Flamengo have moved quickly to replace Pixbet as their main sponsor after terminating their partnership with the gambling firm this month. That deal, which was reportedly worth BR$125 million (US$30 million) per year, began in 2024 and was due to run until 2027.
Betano is said to have seen off competition from multiple betting companies, including Sportingbet and Superbet, to succeed Pixbet. The value of the new deal has not been officially disclosed, though Flamengo have described it as the largest in Brazilian soccer.
Betano is already the title sponsor of the top-tier Brazilian Serie A soccer league and previously sponsored Atletico Mineiro. Outside of Brazil, the brand’s other deals include front-of-shirt tie-ups with Premier League side Aston Villa and Portuguese champions Sporting CP, as well as sponsorship of the Uefa Europa League and Uefa Conference League.
Coming next:
Flamengo, who are currently first in the Brazilian top flight, are next in league action against Esporte Clube Vitória on 25th August.
